TAR100040 is an Upper Swivel Pin Kit for the front axle of non-ABS Defender models. The kit includes the upper swivel pin, bearing, seal and shims required to rebuild the front axle upper swivel pin assembly on the steering knuckle. The upper swivel pin forms the top pivot for the steering knuckle and transmits wheel hub loads into the axle; the bearing provides the rotational interface while the seal and shims restore the correct preload and lateral clearance, removing play and helping to restore correct steering geometry and axle alignment where wear has occurred.
