UAM2957L is a drain plug (sump plug / oil drain plug / drain bolt) fitted to the engine oil pan (sump) to allow controlled drainage of engine oil. It is used on 300Tdi, 2.0 MPi petrol and 4.0 and 4.6 EFI V8 engines as listed in the compatibility section below.
