Land Rover Part Number: URB100651 - Clutch Pressure Plate
URB100651 is a push-type clutch pressure plate fitted to the flywheel. It applies axial clamping force to the clutch friction disc and transfers engine torque through the flywheel to the transmission input shaft. The release bearing acts on the pressure plate to reduce clamping force for gear changes; the assembly is bolted to the flywheel and must be correctly aligned and securely fastened when fitted. Heat generated across the plate and disc interface is absorbed by the assembly, and wear on the friction face or loss of spring preload will lead to slipping or poor engagement. Replacement of the pressure plate is normally carried out alongside the clutch friction disc and release bearing to restore correct clutch operation on Td4 Freelander 1 models.
