URB500070 is a clutch kit comprising the clutch cover and driven plate for 2.0 Td4 manual drivetrains in Freelander 1 models. Fitted against the engine flywheel, these components transfer engine torque to the gearbox and permit smooth engagement and disengagement of the transmission; where a dual mass flywheel is fitted this kit works with that assembly to manage torque pulses. This is a lead free clutch kit that replaces part numbers STC4763 and URB500040; the clutch release bearing is supplied separately as UUB000070 and the dual mass flywheel is part number STC4561. The URB500070 clutch kit supplies the driven friction plate and pressure (cover) assembly used to transmit torque from the M47 2.0L Td4 engine to the manual gearbox in Freelander 1 vehicles. The driven plate engages the cover against the flywheel to transfer drive; when a dual mass flywheel (STC4561) is fitted the kit works with that assembly to smooth torque pulses. The kit includes only the cover and driven plate-check and replace the clutch release bearing (UUB000070) and inspect the flywheel when fitting.
