VPLRR0154 is a pair of bright-finish aluminium roof cross bars that attach to the vehicle's existing roof rails to provide mounting points for roof-mounted accessories. They fit Discovery 5 roof rails and are lockable for security. The bars accept accessories such as bike carriers, roof boxes and load carriers, using a clamp-down handle to secure each bar to the rails; the clamps are lockable to reduce the risk of theft. The bars use a compact profile that maximises usable rail length while keeping the combined incremental height of rails and bars up to 110 mm, and have an aerodynamic profile designed to reduce drag and minimise wind noise. Rated maximum dynamic load when fitted is 74 kg and this rating should not be exceeded. Objects placed above the roof-mounted satellite antenna may reduce received signal quality and affect navigation or satellite radio performance.
