Land Rover Part Number: WAM402630L - Crankshaft Main Bearing Shell - Plain - Green - 1.8 K Series
WAM402630L is a plain green crankshaft main bearing shell for 1.8 K Series petrol engines. Fitted at the engine main bearing journals, this plain shell supports and locates the crankshaft, controlling radial clearance and permitting a hydrodynamic oil film to form between the journal and shell during operation. As a smooth (plain) bearing shell it does not contain oil feed grooves and must be matched with the correct grooved bearings to maintain oil flow and clearances.
Please note: Seven of these smooth plain bearings are used on the crankshaft together with three grooved bearings; match the colour code as these smooth green bearings pair with the grooved green bearings WAM402730L.
