WAV100220L is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve assembly fitted to the exhaust gas recirculation system on 2.0L diesel Freelander models. It modulates exhaust gas flow back into the inlet to lower combustion temperatures and reduce NOx formation. The assembly controls the amount of exhaust gas returned to the inlet under different engine load and temperature conditions; the valve seats and actuator regulate flow through the exhaust-to-intake path and the unit mounts on the exhaust side with a connection to the inlet manifold. The EGR valve-to-pipe gasket is ERR3319 and the EGR valve-to-inlet-manifold gasket is WAL500010L.
