YLE500310 is an Alternator Assembly fitted to the engine electrical system on Defender 2.4L Puma diesel models. The unit converts mechanical energy from the engine into electrical energy to supply the vehicle's electrical system and maintain battery charge while the engine runs. This assembly contains the rotating field and stationary windings, plus the rectifier and voltage regulation components required to produce a stable charging output. It is mounted to the engine and driven by the accessory drive belt to match the 2.4L Duratorq TDCi Puma installation and electrical connections used on these vehicles.
Please note: Battery must be fully recharged before fitting this new alternator. Failure to do so may affect any future warranty claim.
